High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible . Very little rain (9mm) has fallen in the last week.
Groundwater levels in Hambledon remain relatively stable. Currently, widespread cellar flooding is expected. Groundwater is infiltrating sewers and causing issues with overflowing manholes. Fareham Road is closed, and water is flowing onto the road on the north side of East Street. From Thursday 26/02/2026 to Monday 02/03/2026, only small amounts of rain are expected in Hampshire. Groundwater levels in Hambledon are expected to begin slowly falling during the weekend. Flooding impacts are expected to decrease over the next week.
We are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with Hambledon Flood Action Group.
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
