High groundwater levels are expected to continue to cause flooding. The groundwater level at the Delcombe Wood borehole remains high at 139.59m above sea level. Flooding is expected for: Turnworth, Winterborne Stickland, Winterborne Houghton, Clenston, Whatcombe and Whitechurch. Levels are starting to fall steadily. No rainfall is expected over the next couple days but another band of rain is forecast from Thursday. Drier conditions return over the weekend and levels are expected to continue to fall. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts. Roads may be impassable due to flood water, do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:30AM on 9th March 2026 or as the situation changes.
