Groundwater levels in Bramdean and Cheriton are high but relatively stable.
Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. Groundwater is very close to the level that cellar flooding in Bramdean, as well as road flooding in both villages, is expected. Mostly dry weather is forecast from Monday 02/03/2026 to Friday 06/03/2026. Groundwater levels will slowly fall throughout this week.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed.
