High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible . Mostly light rain (21mm) has fallen in the last week.
Groundwater levels in Kings Somborne have been slowly falling since Thursday 19/02/2026. Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars in a small number of properties along Winchester Road, central King's Somborne and in Little Somborne. On Tuesday 24/02/2026, Wednesday 25/02/2026 and Saturday 28/02/2026, dry weather is expected. From Thursday 26/02/2026 into Friday 27/02/2026, further rain (between 15 and 25mm) is forecast to affect Hampshire. If heavy rain affects the area, groundwater levels may rise again for a couple of days.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
