High river levels today may lead to flooding. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Slash Lane at Sileby, the Mountsorrel to Sileby road, Loughborough, Zouch, Kegworth, the access road from Ratcliffe on Soar to Redhill Marina, the B5328 Cossington Road and the access road to Sileby Mill, the A6006 at Zouch, Soar Lane Sutton Bonnington, Moor Lane Normanton, Station Road at Kegworth, Kegworth Road, The Green Ratcliffe on Soar, and farmlands at Cossington, Sileby, Barrow, Quorndon and Cotes. Road from A453 to Kegworth is currently flooded. River levels at Pillings Lock Gauge have peaked and are slowly falling, with no further rise forecasted. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10 PM on 02 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
